Default Department Attorney

Locations: Rochester Job Description: Consult with clients on legal best practices Review, prepare, draft pleadings, motions, memoranda etc. Review pleadings and determine the best course of action Research legal issues; new rules, regulations, and laws; and remain current on case law in the area of practice Adhere to a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and case-related conferences Work with and supervise staff Requirements and Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience in one or any of the following areas strongly preferred; bankruptcy, evictions, default litigation Skills of persuasion and negotiation Strong time management and organizational skills Detail-oriented Strong computer skills and competency Professional attitude and strong personal ethics Flexible, willingness to learn new skills as needs arise Be proactive, engaging and have moxie Desire to work in a flexible, team-centric environment where your voice is heard and respected Compensation: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year.
